School is Almost Here!

As school comes closer and closer, it’s time to think about how you can make a difference this year. There are many ways to make a difference both within your community and in your school. From simply eating lunch with the kid who sits alone, to smiling at people in the hallway, to saying hi to someone new, or buying someone their lunch or a coffee. Being kind DOES NOT need to cost any money! Some people associate kindness with needing money to give to people but tat could not be further from true. If you are interested in ways to help in your school or if you want to bing the Coalition For Kindness into your school or workplace, contact us here. Remember, a simple smile can make a difference!

Bring the Coalition For Kindness to Your School or Workplace!

The Coalition For Kindness is looking to expand it’s message to both students and adults. We believe that if you instill kindness in young people, they will spread kindness throughout their adult life as well. We plan to do this through fundraisers in schools/workplaces, presentations in schools/workplaces, and training sessions about spreading kindness and stopping bullying/hate when you see it. To bring the Coalition For Kindness to your school or workplace or to get more information, please contact us here.

The International Week of Happiness and a Random Act of Kindness!

Today at the Miller Place High School, our founder, Joseph Maronski handed out over 500 smiley face stickers and pins to students, teachers, and staff. By the end of the day, he had gone through a full roll of stickers and everyone had a smile on their face. A simple $10 roll of stickers gave over 800 students, teachers, and staff a reason to smile! Below is the Symphonic Band wearing their stickers and the Select Chorus singing “What The World Needs Now” while sporting theirs!

National Random Acts of Kindness Week

This week, the week of February 12th is National Random Acts of Kindness Week leading up to Friday, February 17th which is National Random Acts of Kindness Day. We have created a schedule and challenge you to do one act of kindness each day or go above and beyond and perform two!

The First Act of Kindness by the Coalition For Kindness Has Happened!

On Wednesday, January 4th, our founder, Joseph Maronski, was in his local Starbucks when a police officer walked in. Joseph immediately gave his phone to the cashier and left it there until the officer got up to pay at which point she told the officer his drink was payed for. The officer found out it was Joseph who did this and the two of them had a great conversation. Some act as simple as this could change someone’s day like this changed the officer’s day. Joseph challenges you to do something like this the next time you are in a coffee shop or deli!
